SCA runs a number of memory and activity groups, some are based at Fenwick in the New Forest and some are in Portsmouth.
The memory groups are based on the principles of cognitive stimulation therapy (CST) to help maintain memory function and increase self confidence for people who are experiencing memory loss.
The memory groups meet weekly for 14 weeks and look at a particular topic each week. Our facilitators make sure the sessions are fun, engaging, inclusive and stimulating. Following the first 14 weeks at our memory groups, you can then attend the 14 week memory maintenance sessions.
People who have previously attended our groups have thoroughly enjoyed taking part and have reported significant improvements in their wellbeing.
No GP referral is necessary, if you get in touch with us we can undertake a short assessment with you to make sure that the group is suitable for your needs.
