Macho Matt Mashes Marathon
Matt Jarratt, Director of Social Enterprise Development, at Social Care in Action Group (SCA) triumphed as he crossed the finish line of the Dorset Marathon. The 26.4 mile off road slog was a challenge for Matt as it was the first marathon of this type that he had attempted. He completed it successfully and raised money for SCA.
The Dorset Marathon took place on Saturday 3 December and set off at 9.00am following a route along Osmington Mill to Tyneham.
“Knowing I was running in order to raise money for an organisation I’m proud to work for, with the sponsorship and support of people I’m privileged to call my colleagues made it entirely worthwhile,” said Matt.
SCA are very grateful for Matt’s support and efforts. Money raised will be put towards one of the many projects which SCA need funds to deliver, whether it be an outing for one of SCA’s dementia specific day centres, the volunteer run bathing service at SCA Fenwick2 or to support development of new services in the local community.
