Christmas Tree Festival A Success

On 9th - 11th December 2011, The League of Friends to the Fenwick Hospital (LOFF) and the Friends of Lyndhurst Surgery (FOLS) worked togather to organise a Christmas Tree Festival in Lyndhurst. The festival raised a grand total of £1,353.42; half going to FOLS and half to LOFF.

The organisers have written thank you letter to the sponsors of the event, detailing what they plan to spend the money on:

“The League of Friends of Fenwick 2 will utilize their money to support the many activities undertaken at the Fenwick. Including care for the elderly and those suffering from mild dementia as well as supporting their carers, contributing to the costs of the assisted bathing service, Phoenix Club, Carers Coffee morning, patient transport and specialist gym equipment for the rehabilitation classes.

As far as Friends of Lyndhurst Surgery is concerned approval has recently been given for the purchase of another 24 hour BP monitor and monies raised from the Festival will go towards this expenditure.

On behalf of both committees we would like to thank you very much indeed for your support. It has been a pleasure to hear from people in the community that they have really enjoyed the Festival and are looking forward to the next one, perhaps the year after next. If you or people you know would like to be involved with either of the above charities please do not hesitate to contact us."

A massive thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event and made it a success.
