Christmas Tree Festival
Lyndhurst is playing host to a magical Christmas tree spectacular and concert this year – and everyone is invited.
The League of Friends from Fenwick2 Health and Wellbeing Centre in Pikes Hill and the Friends of Lyndhurst Surgery have joined forces to put on the Christmas Tree Festival in St Michael and All Angels Church, Lyndhurst, from Friday December 9th to Sunday December 11th.
The festival features 26 Christmas trees decorated in different styles and themes by local schools, churches, charity and voluntary groups. Entry is free but there will be raffle tickets on sale and donations can be given for mulled wine and mince pies. You can view the trees from 10am to 4.30 pm on December 9th and 10th and from 12.30pm to 4.30pm on December 11th.
The festival will also feature a special music and choir performance, Voices of the Forest, on Friday December 9th at 7.30pm. Tickets for the performance, costing £7.50 and including a glass of wine, will be on sale at the door from 6.45pm on the day or can be reserved in advance from Sylvia Dibben on 023 8081 2967.
“This is a magical way to get into the festive spirit,” said Wendy Bolt, Fenwick2 Centre Co-ordinator. “What better than a hall full of beautiful Christmas trees, some mulled wine, mince pies and Christmas carols. All proceeds go towards supporting the work of both groups so we hope as many people as possible will come along.”
