MiDAS Training
In order to satisfy the minibus regulations regarding Community Transport operators, all mini bus drivers employed by SCA Support Services hold a current Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme Certificate, (MIDAS), for accessible vehicles.
MiDAS is a nationally recognised qualification which covers driving skills, legal and health & safety issues.
The scheme was developed to ensure the safety and comfort of service users travelling on Community Transport vehicles and to set a standard of driver awareness and ability when operating this type of vehicle.
As part of our continued commitment to improve, expand and innovate , SCA Support Services has trained members of staff to MiDAS Assessor Level and is able to offer a complete MiDAS training package to drivers or organisations wishing to qualify for either the standard or accessible MiDAS certificate.
