Social Interaction - a great opportunity to make friends and become part of a group.
Mental Stimulation - through memory exercises, reminiscence projects and word and number games. Also sensory activities such as sound recognition games and 'feelie' bags.
Physical Activities - for example, carpet bowls, movement to music and skittles.
Arts and Crafts
Entertainment - singers, parties, lectures and occasional lunches out.
Information - outside speakers including the Fire Service, Mobility Aids, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Trading Standards etc. Arranging the speakers is aimed at supporting people to continue to safely enjoy living at home.
Nutrition - the provision of healthy hot meals and refreshments.
Personal Care - services such as hairdressing and chiropody (where there is appropriate accommodation) or a comforting person to discuss problems with.
Prevention - the staff can act as a link between the client and the network of available community services.
