JOY BURTON

Area Manager for the Care Directorate

Joy has worked for the SCA Group for seven years, but has only recently taken on a new role as Area Manager for the Care Directorate.  Joy originally joined SCA as a Day Centre Co-ordinator and has since undertaken roles as Deputy Day Care Manager, Day Care Manager and Manager of the Brook Centre which offers day support and care for the elderly with high physical dependency needs.  Prior to working with SCA she owned and managed a Residential Care Home in Netley Abbey.

In her new role, Joy is responsible for Day Care operations and for some of the Domiciliary Care management duties.

ROS DANGERFIELD

Registered Manager
(Southampton Domiciliary Care Office - covering Southampton, Eastleigh & Romsey)

Ros has worked for the SCA Group for fifteen years, providing domiciliary care services from the Southampton office.  Before working for SCA she worked for Anchor Housing Association in providing sheltered housing for the elderly.

Within her role as Registered Manager, Ros takes charge of the day to day running of the office and is also responsible for the Extra Care Housing Scheme which provides 24 hour, 7 day per week care for the elderly who reside in flats located in 3 areas of the City.  In addition she oversees overall responsibility for Welcome Home, Adult Learning Disabilities and Mental Health domiciliary services.

SARAH OSGOOD

Registered Manager
(New Forest Domiciliary Care Office - Lyndhurst)

Sarah has worked for the SCA Group for five years.  She joined SCA in the Southampton Domiciliary Care office as Assistant Support Work Co-ordinator, later taking on the role of Support Work Co-ordinator.  She recently took on the role of Registered Manager of the New Forest Domiciliary Office in Lyndhurst, in December 2009.

In her new role, Sarah is in charge of managing, supervising and training the office staff as well as overseeing the management of 140 care staff in the community of the West New Forest.  This office supplies a wide range of home care needs including: Extra Care Housing, Extra Care Night Service, Companion Service, LD/PD Support & Take a Break Service, Welcome Home, East New Forest Domiciliary Care, West New Forest Domiciliary Care.

HELEN ATKINS

Registered Manager (Poole Domiciliary Care Office)

Helen joined the SCA Group in 2005 as a care worker and was promoted to the position of Senior Carer after twelve months.  Prior to joining SCA she worked as a pub landlord in London.

Helen is now Registered Manager of the Poole Domiciliary Office and has a number of key responsibilities in delivering home care and rehabilitation services to the Poole and Bournemouth communities, including:

-  Managing and training 44 care workers based in Poole and Bournemouth
-  Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care delivered to service providers
-  Creating reports and statistics that can be delivered to the head office in Southampton

KEITH JACKSON


Registered Manager (Waterlooville Domiciliary Care Office)

Keith joined the SCA Group as Registered Manager of the Waterlooville office in October 2009.  He has previous experience of working within the residential and day care sector, providing support for people who had learning disabilities.  He has also previously owned and managed a chauffer driving company.

Within his role at Waterlooville, his key responsibilities include:

-  Overseeing the day to day operational side of the domiciliary care service
-  Providing business/service development
-  Training and development of office and care staff

TINA MENTOR

Homesafe Service


Tina has worked for the SCA Group since 1997; previously she worked for Social Services for 19 years.  Within her role at SCA, Tina has a number of responsibilities which include:

-  Co-ordinating the Homesafe Scheme so service user can remain independent in their own homes.
-  Managing the day to day running of the service
-  Managing the Homesafe Directory
-  Taking a lead role in Moving & Handling Risk Assessment within the company and covering all areas if there is a problem the office manager cannot resolve.
-  Attending various workshops to aid with Government Grant applications

VICTORIA JUDGE

Advocacy Service / Complaints Office / Clerk to the Board

Vicky has worked for the SCA Group since graduating from the Southampton University in 1999.  She started as the then Chief Executive's (Brian Strevens) Assistant, working within a project based role, but took on the responsibility of the Advocacy Service in Bournemouth in 2002.

Vicky is now the Manager of Advocacy Services and is based at the Southampton office.  Advocacy empowers and enables vulnerable people in the community to find solutions to a wide variety of issues.  Within this role, Vicky oversees general management and direction of services, as well as ensuring the monitoring requirements of purchasers are being met.

Whilst working for SCA, Vicky has also taken the opportunity for further study by completing an MSc in Management and a Diploma in Marketing.

TRACY KATTERNS

Health & Wellbeing Manager at the Wavell Day Centre

Tracy has worked for the SCA Group for ten years and is based at the Wavell Day Centre in Bitterne which provides day care services to the elderly within the community.  Before working for the SCA Group, Tracy worked as a hospital nurse. 

Wavell Day Centre currently has 31 regular visitors which creates a number of responsibilities including:

-  Ensuring service users have a good day whilst at the Centre
-  Supervising and training staff
-  Closely liaising with the service users' next of kin to ensure the smooth running of the service
-  Completing a number of administration duties
-  Budgeting and preparing for assessment visits

SUE HOWELLS

Health & Wellbeing Manager at Brownhill Day Centre

Sue joined the SCA Group twelve years ago, having previously had many years experience in Dementia Care.

As the Centre Manager, Sue works closely with her highly motivated and experienced team to provide the highest standards of care, seven days a week, to the 95 high dependency service users.  In addition, she works closely with the service users' families and outside agencies.

JOHN HAVILL

Transport Operations Manager

John has worked for the SCA Group for nine years, in his initial four years as Assistant Transport Operations Manager and the past five years as Manager.  Previously he worked as a branch manager for a battery distribution company and has also worked within the motor trade.

As Transport Operations Manager he is responsible for managing the office team and community drivers.  In addition, he updates and maintains the Transport Services database and manages the maintenance of SCA minibuses.

John has completed a number of qualifications whilst working at SCA, including CPC National Road Passenger Transport.  He is also a qualified Midas Assessor and Trainer.

FENWICK2 HEALTH AND WELLBEING CENTRE

LISA DILLANE

Fenwick2 Co-ordinator


Lisa joined the SCA Group in March 2008 and is responsible for Fenwick2 Health and Wellbeing Centre in the New Forest, Hampshire.  Prior to joining SCA, Lisa spent nine years in the health care industry as a practicing Homeopath, before which she worked for seventeen years in the Finance industry. 

Her duties at Fenwick2 include identifying areas of need within the community and initiating services within Fenwick2 to meet those needs, as well as managing and maintaining the centre on a daily basis.
