The GP (General Practitioner) - There are 40 GP practices (or surgeries) within Southampton all of which have a team of District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives and Practice Nurses. These family doctors are most often the first port of call when you feel unwell. GPs are being encouraged to broaden the services they offer.
