The Fenwick Hospital was opened to serve the community in 1908, in 2008 it continues its mission as a Community Health and Well Being Centre one of its aims being to help people live as long as possible in their own homes.

Counseling Service
This service provides support for people at critical times in their lives. The purpose of counseling is for clients to have a quiet, safe, confidential space to examine their thoughts and feelings and, to explore and work through these feelings with the help and skill of an empathetic, non-judgmental counselor. Counseling helps with:
- Resolving inner conflicts and issues from the past which may be impacting on the present
- Self awareness
- A number of addictions such as gambling, sex, alcohol and drug abuse
- Dealing with sexual and emotional abuse; depression, grief and loss, bereavement and work relationships and any other issues that clients may bring
Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a system of medicine that takes the whole human being in relation to his environment into account and matches the illness picture of each patient against the necessary treatment. Homeopathy can help with all types of emotional and physical illness by stimulating the body's own defensive and curative processes. Some of the conditions that Homeopathy may help are:
- Eczema/Psoriasis
- IBS
- Arthritis
- Hay Fever
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis provides direct access to the other 90% of you - your unconscious mind. This is where learning's, wisdoms, insights and understandings reside, together with those self-sabotaging programs that prevent people from fulfilling their potential. Hypnosis is a proven method for helping people to tap into their potentials and resources, overcome obstacles, and achieve what is desired in life. Hypnotherapy may help you to:
- Lose weight
- Improve confidence
- Eliminate addictions
Kinesiology
Kinesiology uses a simple muscle-test to pinpoint food sensitivities. Acting on this knowledge can be one of the quickest routes to:
- Enhanced weight loss
- Overcoming bloating, irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders
- Eradicating fatigue
Massages and Sports Massage
Massage is a proven method of enhancing the physical and psychological well being of the individual. It aids mental and physical relaxation and healing. The stimulatory effect of sports massage encourages the healing process of injuries and allows the body to function to its full potential. It can help to:
- To relieve the symptoms of stress
- To relieve muscular discomfort
- To increase mobility
Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the soles, tops and sides of the feet are connected to corresponding areas throughout the body. In this way, the feet can be seen as a ‘map' of the body. Potential benefits of reflexology are:
- Reduced stress
- Feelings of deep relaxation
- Increased energy levels
- Improved circulation
- Removal of impurities and toxins
- A stronger immune system
Exercise Classes
The Centre is also offering classes to improve your Health and Well Being.
Remedial Yoga
Yoga brings awareness as to how the body can become stronger, more alive, more supple and how each part of the body can wake up to support the whole. It addresses how much the mind, emotions and breath are involved with the physical body and how we can improve our health in day to day life by improving our posture and our awareness and the state of our mind.
Personal Training
Personal training provides you with a friendly and professional service, whilst expertly guiding you to enjoy exercise with an individually tailored program to suit your fitness and lifestyle goals, all of which contribute to your inner health and well being. By combining the knowledge and experience of our personal trainer together with your specific needs you can achieve your goals in no time. If one to one training does not take your fancy why not to bring along a friend and add a little competition into achieving those goals.
Training Facilities and Meeting Rooms
Two rooms are available to organizations for training and meeting purposes. Refreshments are available upon request. If you would like to hold meetings in the tranquility of the New Forest please contact us to arrange a viewing of our premises.

Future Projects:
We are in negotiations to develop more services for our customers:
Carers and Patients Resource Centre
In association with 'Carers together in Hampshire' and Fenwick League of Friends, an information and support centre will be offered. This service will be particularly useful to patients from the Long Term Conditions centre and carers using the Respite Centre but information will generally be available through a website and a telephone advice line.
Physiotherapy and Osteopathy
A physiotherapy and osteopathic clinic will shortly be available to help with pain and disability. This clinic will be available to everyone as well as through private GP referrals.
Pilates Classes
Pilates classes help to build inner core strength within the body.
Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga
Yoga can help to prepare both body and mind for labour, birth and the early months of parenting. Yoga during pregnancy can reduce some of the more common discomforts of pregnancy.
Respite Care
A day activity centre for people with dementia and an outreach 'companion scheme' will give enjoyment to patients and relief to carers.
Sensory Direct
Sensory Direct, a Community Interest Company, has a Hearing Clinic on site. They offer a range of Hearing Rehabilitation Services, which include hearing therapy, help with Tinnitus, relaxation therapy, and specialist equipment and training services. See their website for more information.
Fenwick 2 is a Social Enterprise dedicated to providing Health and Well Being services for the people of Lyndhurst, the New Forest and beyond.
