Our Chief Executive Speaks to the House in Enterprise Week

Social Enterprise Day was on 20 November 2008. It was a national day to celebrate and promote social enterprise. As part of Enterprise Week, and recognition of Social Enterprise in the UK, our Chief Executive, Brian Strevens, was invited to give a speech in the House of Commons to the All Party Committee about about social enterprise, and SCA's role as a social enterprise.
Further to this, Brian has been invited by David Nicholson CBE (CEO of the NHS) to attend an informal breakfast meeting 26 November, along with a select number of other organistions, in order to discuss the role of social enterprises, the voluntary sector and Allied Health Professionals in the NHS.
David Nicholson is keen to hear about organisations' experiences and their vision for how social enterprises can become more involved in shaping the future of the NHS, particularly in light of the 'right to request' to become a social enterprise, and the improved AHP service offer for patients and public.
Both events are an opportunity to raise the profile of SCA Group and aid its advancement as a leading national social enterprise!
