SCA Trafalgar Dental Services sets out to be the finest provider of dentistry in the central South. The clinics are led by a talented Chief Executive and a team of dentistry experts who together, have over 90 years experience in the field.
The network of clinics is a pioneering social enterprise solution to the provision of high quality dentistry. A shortfall of dental practices and a decrease in NHS provision had left local communities stranded without accessible dental services. SCA Trafalgar Dental Services seek to fill this gap caused by market and public failure.
Principle and Ethos
Every penny of surplus we make is reinvested to further enhance our services to patients. As a social enterprise this is our core motivation namely to provide flexibility, innovation and quality that delivers an additional social return to the communities in which we operate. We are a carbon neutral organisation.
Services
General dental practice is delivered at all clinics for both NHS patients and private patients. The private practice is used to complement the contract income we receive from the NHS and to challenge dentists to increase the surpluses which are available for reinvestment in service provision. In addition we are increasingly working with international partners to provide implants and other pioneering procedures. We are committed to continually improving the range and quality of services availble to our patients.
Facilities
All Trafalgar Clinics have access to brand new equipment and first class facilities many of which have been purpose built.
Clinics are linked by a joint IT platform 
enabling patient records and other key information to be shared between practices. We have Digital Orthopantomographs (OPGs) providing digital x-rays which enable a fast and efficient service.
Quality and Professionalism
All staff have access to a coherent support structure, strong managerial support and first rate clinical governance. Quality is overseen by a Dental Standing Committee, a team of independent dental experts who are available to advise and mentor where necessary. In addition Senior Dentist and Senior Project Officer are in post to ensure each practice runs smoothly and that the highest quality dentistry is consistently being delivered.
