Rosebrook Court, Bitterne and Rozel Court, Lordshill
£6.20 - £7.04 per hour or £6.70 - £7.54 per hour if NVQ 2 in Care qualified
SCA has several exciting new opportunities for care and support workers who would like to work under one roof, delivering care using a person-centred approach. Extra Care is essentially care and support to people aged 60+ in warden-controlled accommodation that helps them remain there for longer. Working as part of a small team, you will be expected to provide personal care, shopping, laundry and activity support to people living at Rosebrook and Rozel Court.
Rosebrook Court is a new build on the east of the city due for completion early February 2009. We are looking to recruit staff able to work in shifts to deliver our services. There will be some ‘sleeping nights' available from 22.00 - 07.00 hours and various other shifts to cover a 24 hour period.
Rozel Court already has a fully functioning 24 hour Extra Care Service being delivered by dedicated staff. We require Bank Staff who can undertake a range of shifts (including ‘sleeping nights') to cover staff in the event of sickness/holiday absence. Care and support work is also available in Mantson Court, within walking distance of Rozel Court.
Experience preferred although not essential as SCA has a comprehensive training and support programme that will ensure you are confident before being sent out to work. NVQ 2 in Care training is compulsory after 6 months and enhancements are paid once qualified.
