SCA offers a wide range of opportunities to work with people living in the Community. We have bases in SouthamptonLyndhurstPoole, and Waterlooville from which we provide services in the surrounding areas.

As a Social Care Worker, you could be providing regular or short term help with personal or domestic care for frail, older people living at home Simple things like helping with dressing, or preparing a meal can really make a big difference.

Support Workers work specifically with people who have a mental health issue, a learning disability, or physical disability. The range of duties can vary, from helping with daily living skills at home or supporting service users in the community with social or therapeutic activities.

Whatever your role, you will find the work varied and rewarding. You do not need any qualifications or experience to apply, all we ask is that you are reliable, caring, patient and trustworthy. You will also need to be a car owner/driver. We are flexible with hours, although we do ask that staff can work some evenings and/or weekends.

SCA will provide you with the necessary equipment and a free uniform and a structured training programme to give you the skills and confidence to do your job well. We offer cultural support and English lessons to Social Care Workers wishing to join us in the UK from overseas.

Our preferred NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) provider, The Quinn Centre will help you gain this valuable recognition of your work at a time, pace and format to suit your needs. We offer generous pay uplifts to new and existing Care and Support staff who have a relevant NVQ.
