Care at Home
SCA Care provides personal care, support and companionship to enable people to remain living in their own home.
High dependency care is also available this is when two or three care workers attend at each visit and is suitable for customers who have high and complex care needs.
These services are available from all our local offices in Southampton, East Hampshire, the New Forest and Poole.
If you would like to receive care from us, we will visit you to discuss what support you would like and explain the choices available to you. We will then create a care plan with you, which sets out your preferences, needs and requirements. We ensure that you are in control of your care right from the start.
Care visits can be arranged at flexible times throughout the day and week, in response to your individual needs. We can also tailor the length of the calls to suit your requirements, and work with you to encourage independence and work towards a desired set of goals.
Our home care workers can undertake the following tasks for you:
- Help with washing, bathing, dressing etc.
- Domestic help such as light housework, washing and shopping
- Personal assistance such as help with paying bills or menu planning
82% of customers felt that receiving our high dependency care service has been greatly instrumental in allowing them to remain in their own home safely whilst 18% felt that it had been slightly so.

100% of our personal assistance customers felt that receiving the service improved their health and confidence (67% said greatly improved, 33% said slightly improved).

SCA Care at Home services can be accessed in two ways:
1. Through Adult Services (Hampshire or Poole), who will undertake both a needs assessment and a financial assessment to ensure their eligibility criteria is met.
2. Or you can purchase services directly from SCA Care through a private agreement, telephone your local office to find out more (see below for your local care office telephone number).
Our East Hampshire office in Waterlooville offers a subsidised domestic service, with the help of Havant Adult Services, to offer cleaning and shopping to residents in Havant, Hayling Island, Waterlooville, Leigh Park, Emsworth, Horndean, Cowplain, Denmead, Crookhorn and Widley.
