SCA Care is a social enterprise supporting better lives.

We deliver 350,000 hours of care and support each year to our 5000 members.
 
Our mission is to enable our members to remain living in their own home and support them to have better lives.

At SCA Care, we provide a wide range of short and long term services which can be tailored to individual needs and aspirations, as follows:
 
- Personal care in the home, including help to wash, shower, bath and dress
- Domestic help such as light housework and shopping
- Support in accessing local community facilities
- Companionship for older people living on their own
- Respite care for carers who look after others (Take a Break and Sitting Service
  schemes)
- Support with tenancy, such as help to pay bills and organising repairs
- Rehabilitation following a spell in hospital
- Teaching life skills i.e. budgetting, menu planning etc
- Wellbeing centres providing day time activities, care and social relationships for
  
members. Specialist clubs are run for people with dementia and people from black
  and ethnic minority communities.
- Advocacy services supporting older people, people with learning disabilities and
  people with physical disabilities to speak up for their rights and enable them to
 
resolve issues in their lives.
- Advice and signposting services.
 
These services help people to have the control and choice to remain independent within their own homes.
 
SCA provides high quality care for a wide range of groups including those who are frail through old age, dementia type illnesses and conditions such as Parkinson's, Stroke, Chronic Airways Disease and Diabetes.
 
All of our services are fully compliant and regulated by the Care Quality Commission(www.cqc.org.uk) which regulates, inspects and reviews all adult social care in England. 
 
SCA can also help other care providers and homes to be CQC compliant through our training programmes which meet CQC standards - see our Quinn Training pages for more information.
 
In addition SCA Care continues to maintain accreditation of ISO 9001: 2008; this is a tried and tested framework ensuring that our services are consistently and systematically delivered to meet our customer's expectations.
